Meet Ehren
Ehren Curbelo is a martial arts instructor and women’s fitness coach whose teaching blends practical technique, safe progression, and encouraging feedback. She trained directly with Master George Curbelo in Mountain Martial Arts, an eclectic system that draws on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Krav Maga, Eskrima, staff training, and fitness kickboxing.
Over approximately a decade as an assistant and lead instructor at Mountain Martial Arts, Ehren taught children, teens, and adults and participated in women’s self-defense seminars. She founded Essential Fitness Coaching, through which she has coached approximately 90 online clients over six years. Her Midlife Kickboxing — Fight for Your Strength program focuses on helping women build strength, confidence, and consistent movement habits.

Training Philosophy
“Consistency matters more than perfection.”
Ehren believes effective coaching starts with the individual. Trainees should feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while receiving specific, manageable feedback. She prioritizes proper movement technique, safety, and sustainable progress before speed or intensity.
Through clear demonstrations, individual adaptations, and steady encouragement, she helps trainees take ownership of their development and build lasting confidence.
Getting Started & Safety
Before beginning training, participants complete a health and fitness questionnaire and participation waiver. Medical clearance may be requested when appropriate. Sessions are adapted to individual needs, and medical concerns are referred to qualified healthcare professionals.
Ehren coaches in English using Google Meet and Trainerize. She prefers recurring 12–16-week coaching arrangements and typically requests at least one week’s notice for scheduling.
